The best place to get your credit report is www.annualcreditreport.com. This is the site that has been set up to give you your free official credit report from all 3 reporting agencies. It actually acts as a web portal for each agency. There is absolutely no cost unless you want a score on the report. You can get that for as little as $7.50 or so.

There is only one good place to get your credit report: www.annualcreditreport.com.
It's the place you get your free reports. (They'll try to sell you a credit score and other stuff, but feel free to ignore the marketing push.)

You'll be able to pull up credit reports from all three of the reporting agencies. But you don't have to get all three at once. Since you can get one a year from each, I space them 4 months apart so that I can check credit reports all through the year. If you are married, you can alternate hubby and wife every 2 months. Since much of the same data shows up on the reports of all three, it's a way to keep monitoring your credit situation all year.

The best place to get your credit report, hands down, is www.annualcreditreport.com. This is the official site set up by the three credit agencies to be your one-stop-shop for your credit reports. Your credit report is free and there is an $8 charge if you want your credit score. The first time you check your credit report I also recommend purchasing your score. Though it isn't necessary to check your credit score three times a year definitely get each credit report every four months to keep current during the year. Good luck!
Editor's Note:
Both the Wi$eUp curriculum as well as the FTC's (Federal Trade Commission’s) recommendations, as they are the enforcing agency for the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) agree that the best place to get your credit report is www.annualcreditreport.com. They do not recommend contacting the three credit reporting agencies separately. Credit scores are not included with the annual free reports.
