Bio:

Susan B. Garcia is a real estate agent with Carolina One Real Estate, the largest firm in the Charleston, SC area. She works from the Isle of Palms office and serves an area east of the Cooper River. She is a member of the Board of Realtors and has received her e-certification status.

Before receiving her permanent real estate license, she worked for Blackbaud, Inc., a software development technology firm specializing in delivering products and services to the non-profit community. Her prior corporate assignment was as President of Allegheny Personnel Services, a Personnel Group of America Company providing temporary and permanent placement in administrative positions. She also held the position of Vice-President, Major Accounts with Personnel Group of America

Her business background spans more than 25 years of Business Development and Human Resources experience both in the consulting and corporate arenas. Her corporate experience, at various levels of human resource management, includes banking, consumer food products, retailing, and information technology consulting. She co-founded along with her husband a management consulting firm that earned them the 1994 Charlotte Chamber of Commerce’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

She has served on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, Florence Crittenden Services in Charlotte, Opera Carolina, and Junior Achievement of the Carolinas.

She has appeared on the syndicated TV show Woman-To-Woman, has been interviewed by Charlie Rose in discussions on dual career couples, and has been quoted on the effects of a job loss in the book, “When Smart People Fail” by Carole Hyatt and Linda Gottlieb.

Susan is a native of Pittsburgh, PA, was graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and has taken MBA graduate course from Queens College in Charlotte, NC.
