Bio:
Fara Goodwin is the Lead Benefits Advisor with The U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) - Seattle District Office. She received her Bachelors of Science in Management Studies, and Masters of Science in International Relations. Fara has worked for numerous agencies during her federal career, notably with Department of State and Department of Defense while serving with the military, then as a federal civilian, in Western Europe for over a dozen years. Fara moved back to the States upon accepting a position with the Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) in January of 2000. Fara leads the Technical Assistance and Outreach staff in Seattle and is responsible for obtaining millions of dollars in recovered benefits to eligible participants and beneficiaries. Fara has extensive experience and background giving presentations on Title I of ERISA, which includes pension protections, as well as, COBRA, HIPAA and other health care law.
